Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Maddox Campaign Authenticator (the "Service"), a shared sign-in and submission layer provided by Maddox Gaming AB, org. no. 559547-5418, Sweden ("Maddox", "we", "us") and used to enable participation in branded TikTok game campaigns ("Campaigns") that are organised by Maddox's brand clients ("Organisers").

By signing in to a Campaign page operated through the Service, you accept these Terms in full. Each individual Campaign is also subject to that Campaign's own competition rules ("Campaign Rules") published by the Organiser; if there is a conflict between these Terms and the Campaign Rules, the Campaign Rules govern the Campaign-specific aspects of your participation (prizes, eligibility, draw mechanics, etc.) and these Terms govern your use of the Service itself.

1. About the Service

The Service is a multi-tenant web platform that lets you:

  • Sign in to a Campaign page using your TikTok account through TikTok Login Kit.
  • Upload a screenshot of your in-game score from a TikTok-hosted mini-game for verification.
  • Have your submission validated (in part automatically, see §5) and displayed on the Campaign's leaderboard.

Maddox provides the technical authentication, storage, validation and leaderboard infrastructure. The Organiser of each Campaign is responsible for the Campaign Rules, prize fulfilment, and any marketing of the Campaign.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (Campaigns may impose a higher minimum age in their Campaign Rules).
  • Have a valid TikTok account in good standing and the right to use it.
  • Meet any additional eligibility criteria stated in the relevant Campaign Rules (e.g. country of residence).

3. Your Account and TikTok Login

When you sign in we receive limited profile information from TikTok via TikTok Login Kit, using the scopes user.info.basic and user.info.profile. We never receive or store your TikTok password. You can disconnect the Service from your TikTok account at any time from TikTok's settings.

You are responsible for keeping your TikTok credentials secure and for any activity that occurs through your sign-in. Notify us at the contact address below if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. Permitted Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload manipulated, edited, AI-generated, or otherwise falsified screenshots.
  • Use bots, automated tools, scripts, or any technique intended to manipulate the game, your score, the leaderboard, or the validation system.
  • Create multiple accounts or otherwise attempt to circumvent participation or prize limits set out in the applicable Campaign Rules.
  • Submit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that contains malware.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or attempt to bypass any security or rate-limiting controls.

5. Submissions and Automated Validation

Submissions (screenshots and the score they evidence) are reviewed in part automatically to verify that the image shows a genuine, qualifying result. The automated review decides only whether a submission meets the Campaign's technical requirements; it has no other legal effect on you. If a submission is not approved you may contact us at the address below for a manual re-review by a Maddox staff member.

We may also apply technical anti-fraud measures across Campaigns (for example perceptual image hashing to detect duplicate uploads). Submissions that fail these checks may be rejected and the account may be disqualified from the Campaign in accordance with the Campaign Rules.

6. Disqualification and Suspension

We and the Organiser reserve the right to disqualify a submission, suspend an account, or refuse to award a prize where there is a reasonable suspicion of breach of these Terms, the Campaign Rules, or applicable law. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and we will notify you where reasonably practicable.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding user submissions and Organiser branding), is owned by Maddox and protected by intellectual property laws. By uploading a submission you grant Maddox and the relevant Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, process and, where necessary, share that submission with sub-processors solely for the purpose of operating the Campaign and the Service.

8. No Warranty; Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maddox disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maddox's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to direct damages, and Maddox shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory applicable law.

9. Relationship to TikTok

The Service uses TikTok Login Kit but is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with TikTok. TikTok is not a party to your use of the Service or to any Campaign and has no responsibility toward participants. Information you provide to the Service is provided to Maddox and to the relevant Organiser, not to TikTok. Your use of TikTok itself is governed by TikTok's own terms and policies.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is described in the Maddox Campaign Authenticator Privacy Notice, available at https://spela.maddox.gg/privacy-policy. Each Campaign also has its own privacy policy published by the Organiser, which describes the Campaign-specific processing of your personal data.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published at this URL with a "Last updated" date. Where changes are material we will give reasonable notice on the Campaign sign-in screen before they take effect.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may delete your data via the in-product Delete my data function on any Campaign page or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service in case of material breach of these Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall, where possible, be resolved amicably. Failing that, disputes shall be settled by the Swedish general courts, with Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as first instance. Consumers always retain the right to bring proceedings before the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) or before the courts of their place of residence under mandatory consumer-protection rules.
